Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) & Burdock (Arctium lappa) wine have always been a firm favorite with the country folk. Using these two readily available plants makes sense. My pony boy has had the Senior mix for several years now (this is 2012) and has done very well on it. His coat shone like a new copper penny. Still does, and had his 27th birthday last March. There are many factors contributing to his superb condition but Senior mix clearly plays a positive role in maintaining this. My mare is now having it as well. It has a lovely, fresh fragrance they both love to inhale when I open the container. If they lived in the wild, I believe they would choose every single one of the herbs in Senior mix.
