Aloe Vera (2:1 Extract)

Contains:

2:1 Aloe Vera juice extract (Aloe barbadensis)

Aloe Vera Extract 2:1 is made from Aloe Vera 10:1, where the Aloe Vera leaves are filleted and washed to remove aloin.  They are then ground and pulp and fiber removed.  After flash pasteurisation, the Aloe Vera Juice is concentrated via reverse osmosis to get Aloe Vera 10:1, preserved and pH adjusted. It is then carefully adjusted to achieve 2:1 which means it is twice as concentrated as fresh Aloe Vera Juice.

Aloe Vera can be added to feed on a daily basis, if possible, splitting the required amount between two feeds. It can also be used externally.  Guidelines:

• Horses/Ponies: as directed by your vet: 50 to 120 ml per day
• Dogs: up to 25 Kg give 2.5 to 5 ml daily: 25+ Kg give 5 ml daily increasing towards 10 ml daily
• Cats: (average weight 4kg): 10 to 15 drops twice daily (1 ml = 20 drops)

Note: Aloe Vera can have a slight laxative effect, so we suggest starting with a lower amount and increasing gradually or as advised by your vet.

Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis)  The majority of Aloe Vera is transported around the world as a dry powder.  This is because aloe contains large quantities of water, which is expensive to transport, therefore, the aloe is dehydrated close to its site of cultivation and then reconstituted once it reaches its final destination.

Our Aloe Vera is not pasteurised at high heat, which preserves a higher enzyme content.
