Meadowsweet - Filipendula Ulmaria
Meadowsweet was used in Britain during the Elizabethan times as a strewing herb; it was one of Queen Elizabeth 1 ( 1533 - 1603 ) favorite herbs and she insisted on having the floors of her apartments strewn with it. To the Druids it was a sacred plant whilst because of its lovely perfume it was used to flavour beer and wine in both England and Scandinavia.

I have added this to my old boys diet and he seems to be much more comfortable. He has a lot of tension over his back and that has become softer. He is now on it permanently. The best bit of the product is that he will eat his food with it in and, no matter how I try and disguise it, he will not touch anything with Bute or the alternatives so this will help him get some comfort during his advancing years.
