Last week, we ran a competition giving you all the chance to get your hands on 2 x Friday passes to Bramham Intenational Horse Trials. The lucky winner of this competition was Susan Reynolds - it was a great day for her as she was also celebrating her birthday! Here is what she had to say about the day:

" Thank you Hilton Herbs for making my birthday extra special, Bramham was fantastic, although the weather was a bit mixed we didn't get too wet. I took my husband Dave so I could have a couple of glasses of processo to celebrate and he could drive home! I brought my sun glasses and Kagool to cover all eventualities - my Kagool is green and lots of people seemed to think I was holding a cabbage in the photo.

We got to Bramham at about 9:30am and found our way to the members enclosure where we had a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich- just in time to watch Zara Tindell! It was a really good dressage test and saw her in about 6th place. We stayed and watched for about an hour then headed towards the trade stands, this is the bit Dave gets anxious about! I didn't spend too much money just a new numnah for my boy, some treats and I entered a lot of competitions.
Next stop was the Burghley 4 year old event horses, we caught the later end but still managed to pick 2 in the top 5. Dave then decided we should go look at some off the cross country fences, and some turned into most of the course. By now we were starving and it had started to rain quite heavily, so we too shelter in the members bistro for a late lunch and that all important glass or 2 of prosecco! It was really busy but we managed to squeeze on to a table with a lovely couple from Derbyshire. We watched some more dressage and saw Pippa Funnell take the lead.
I then decided I hadn't spent enough money so hit the trade stands again, and ended up joining the BHS. By now the rain was quite heavy so we watched some of the 5 year olds in the young event horse and then had to head home to feed our own horses. Thank you for making me your winner both Dave and I had a fantastic day "
