We recently said goodbye to management trainee Camilla Wishaw who had spent a month’s work placement with Hilton Herbs.  Camilla came to us from educational charity Darley Flying Start which provides 12 scholarships annually to people who want to study and work in the global Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.

After various placements with Darley in Europe and the USA, Camilla, a native of Tasmania, specifically requested that her final work placement be with Hilton Herbs at their Somerset HQ as she has a keen and continuing interest in complementary therapy having studied and gained a Bsc in Naturopathy in Australia.

During her month with Hilton Herbs Camilla spent time in production seeing raw ingredients turned into supplements in a tub, as well as working on the Helpline answering customer queries.  She also assisted Medical Herbalist, Hilary Self Bsc MNIMH, in correlating the responses to field trial questionnaires for new products.

During her time with us Camilla gave a outlining her suggestions on how Hilton Herbs, as a herbal supplements company wishing to introduce its products into the Thoroughbred industry, might proceed.  Camilla was enthusiastic, out-going, hard-working and showed great initiative and everyone at Hilton Herbs was sorry to see her go and we wish her every success in her new ventures.
