Our Calendula (Marigold) flowers for horses and other animals can be used topically for minor wounds, skin irritations, cuts and grazes. It is the supreme skin herb and is used extensively throughout the world to support the skin and skin health. Fresh Calendula leaves and flowers can be used to make both tinctures and oils and are used in homeopathic preparations. We use Calendular flowers in many of our topical and internal supplements for horses, pets, poultry and birds.
We use it in our Mud Defender Supplement and Lotion, Cleavers and Marigold, Herb Power, Top Coat, Virex Cream, Phytobalm Cream.

This is due to the consistency of straight herbs eg roots are more dense than leaves or flowers, and they can be given to a variety of species. Now that my grey horse is getting older and may be more prone to lumps and bumps, I give him Calendula to help his skin and keep it in top condition. I use it in conjunction with Equimmune to support his immune system and skin as much as possible. The Calendula flowers smell lovely - this is a great product which is easy to add to a feed and one which I thoroughly recommend.
