What is in the blend?

• Chamomile: Chamomile has a long history of traditional use in herbal preparations to support relaxation and general wellbeing. Chamomile contains active compounds such as apigenin, bisabolol, and chamazulene, which have mild sedative and relaxing properties  These can help reduce anxiety and nervousness, especially in horses undergoing travel, competition, or environmental changes.
  
  
• Valerian: Valerian is traditionally valued for its use in calming herbal preparations and is a key ingredient in this carefully considered blend. Valerian is used to help calm, strengthen and support the nervous system in horses, without drowsiness. The calming effect is attributed to Valerenic acid and related compounds in the root, which may interact with the brain’s gamma‑aminobutyric acid (GABA) system. GABA helps regulate nerve impulses and reduce stress responses. Competition Information

Important: Calm & Collected Liquid contains Valerian and Meadowsweet, which are prohibited under FEI and BHA competition regulations.

A 96-hour withdrawal period is advised for horses competing under FEI and other national or international regulations. Care should also be taken to avoid cross-contamination through feed equipment.
