Add to feed, split between two where possible. It is often worth starting at the lower quantity for this effective herb.
Horses: 10 to 20 grams per day (2 to 4 x 15ml scoops)
Dogs: half to one teaspoon for smaller dogs, one to one and a half teaspoons for medium sized and one to two teaspoons for large breeds.
Slippery Elm powder makes an excellent poultice, because of its 'drawing' properties and can be used topically, as a safe and effective natural compress or poultice for both people and animals. Just add warm water to turn it into a slimy soothing paste.
