Aloe Vera 2:1 juice extract
For internal and external tissue repair
Open up the leaves of an Aloe Vera plant and you will find the rich cooling and slimy Aloe Vera gel, which can be rubbed straight onto the skin.
The benefits of Aloe Vera are that it has a strong affinity for skin and epithelial tissue, making it appropriate for both internal and external use.
Our 2:1 Aloe Vera juice extract can be used both internally and externally for horses, dogs or in fact any animal. The extract also makes an excellent base liquid to which other plant tinctures or essential oils can be added, to create skin washes, gels or sprays according to your individual requirements.
When first feeding Aloe Vera we suggest to start with smaller amounts or as advised by your Vet.
Food-grade 2:1 Aloe Vera juice extract
Aloe Vera Extract 2:1 is made from Aloe Vera 10:1, where the Aloe leaves are filleted and washed to remove aloin. They are then ground, pulp and fiber is then removed. After flash pasteurisation the Aloe Vera Juice is concentrated via reverse osmosis to get Aloe Vera 10:1, preserved and pH adjusted. It is then carefully adjusted to achieve 2:1 which means it is twice as concentrated as fresh Aloe Vera Juice.
Directions for use:
Horses : 50 to 120mls per day or as directed by your vet
Dogs : up to 25kg give 2.5 to 5mls daily, 30+kg give 5mls daily increasing towards 10mls
Cats (average weight 4kg) : 10 to 15 drops twice daily (1ml = 20 drops)
Aloe Vera can have a mild laxative effect so we would always suggest to start with smaller amounts or as advised by your Vet.
Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis)
Did you know that the majority of aloe vera is transported around the world as a dry powder. This is because aloe contains large quantities of water, which is expensive to transport, therefore the aloe is dehydrated close to its site of cultivation and then reconstituted once it reaches its final destination.
